Fans who have watched Cyberpunk 2077 trailers may have thought of roaming the roof in Night city just like GTA, but it will bring more than that.
CD Projekt REd confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will not have an ethical system, so players can fully steal and bring trouble to the city of Night. But one of the game designers has revealed that, although many people start GTA-style games, they will not maintain that for too long.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set in a unique city with cutting-edge technology, where players have almost every freedom of action. While the elements of the game are very detailed, such as having up to 1000 NPCs with different behaviors, the game also has many interesting hidden details waiting for players to explore, and a few of them. That may cause players to rethink their behavior.
Max Pears, a game designer for Cyberpunk 2077, talked about what many players called GTA mode, referring to the crazy car stunts and unethical actions that most players play.
While they could completely do the same in Cyberpunk 2077, and many of the early testers were the same, they changed their style as they progressed deeper and deeper in the game. This is because, although the game does not have anything against the player for disruptive delight, there are so many things to do that no one is interested in creating a commotion anymore. The designer of this game screen refers to the amount of “terrible” tasks that the game brings.
Once players realize that there are so many options available through different directions, they abandon the game of insane rules to take advantage of what the game makers have “made available”.
Using only the Night City setting to experience gameplay like GTA is possible, but it will be unfair to all the different entertainment options that the game brings in an unprecedented way. With the missions of Cyberpunk 2077 revealed, fans are becoming more excited than ever.
But after many delays from the developer, they will have to wait until November to experience the game for themselves. Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for release on November 19 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
